People residing in various parts of Ganjam district would face power cut for about nine hours on Wednesday due to maintenance work at the Narendrapur grid substation.
Official sources said there would be no power supply from 8 am to 5 pm because of annual maintenance of 33-KV bus of 220/132/33 K Narendrapur grid substation.
Development works like installation of 33-KV breaker at 33/11 K Ambapua substation at Janibili, water-related works at Nilanchal Nagar and works on 11KV AB switches would be carried out during this nine-hour period.
Due to the development works, people of Gajapati Nagar, Nilanchal Nagar, Alkapuri, Alekhnagar, Khodasingi Engineering School Main Road,Bidyutpuri Colony, Rajib Nagar, Gopalpur Junction, Saradabali Basant Bihar, Ambapua, Krishna Vihar, Income Tax Housing Board, Palligulmula, Archana Bihar Police Colony, Mahima Bihar and its nearby areas would experience power cut, said an official.
