Weather conditions were extreme hot after day temperatures soared to 47 degree Celsius in the state on Thursday while state capital recorded the highest night temperature at 30.4 degree Celsius.
Three places in the state Nowgong, Khajuraho and Gwlaior recorded 47 degree Celsius which the highest of the season in the state.
After extreme harsh weather conditions forecast of thundery activities and dust storms has been made by Met department in Neemuch, Mandsaur, Shivpuri, Sheopur, Gwalior, Umaria, Katni, Shahdol, Dindori, Mandla, Chhatarpur and Panna district in the next 24 hours. State capital recorded day temperature at 44.1 and night temperature at 30.4 degree Celsius and on Friday day and night temperatures would be likely to be witnessed at 44 and 30 degree Celsius. Several regions witnessed hot waves conditions in the past 24 hours. The districts which witnessed hot wave conditions were Rewa, Chattarpur, Chhindwara, Sagar, Damoh, Hoshangabad, Raisen, Rahgarh, Khargone, Shajapur, Gwalior and Shajapur.
Warning of hot wave conditions at several places in Chattarpur, Sagar, Damoh, Rajgarh, Raisen, Khargone, Shajapur, Jabalpur, Chhindwara districts while hot wave conditions at few places in Rewa, Gwalior and Chambal divisions.
Hoshangabad, Bhopal and Ujjain divisions recorded significant increase in the temperatures in th past 24 hours.
The extreme hot conditions which were witnessed were due to increased day temperatures at several places and day temperatures were recorded at 45 degree Celsius in more than 10 districts. Shajapur recorded day temperature at 30.2 degree Celsius which was lower than the night temperature of the state capital.
