15 doctors asked to join Mekahara

As the strike of the   junior doctors entered the fifth day on Sunday at Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Medical College Hospital, Raipur (Mekahara), state government’s largest hospital, 15 doctors from different parts of Raipur district have been asked to join medical college  hospital with immediate effect in a bid to restore emergency health services.

Dr K R Sonwani, Raipur Chief Medical and Health Officer when contacted said as on directive of health secretary, 15 doctors from different parts of Raipur have been asked to join duty with immediate effect at Medical College Raipur. They will provide their services till the junior doctors withdraw their strike.

Already, as an internal arrangement, all senior doctors and professors of Medical College are attending the OPD and other services.
