N RAILWAY HOLDS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS event
New Delhi: The Oncology Department of Northern Railway Central hospital held “Think Pink” a breast cancer awareness program on Fiday at New Delhi. This was a part of the world breast cancer awareness month 2019. TP Singh, General Manager Northern Railway, Harinder Kaur, President NRWWO, Archana Joshi, AGM and Dr. Shankhwar, Chief Medical Director, Dr Tejinder Singh, HOD Oncology, NRCH along with Doctors and Officers on Northern Railway, patients & their relatives were present on the occasion. According to the WHO statistics Cancer will be the most prevalent disease in the years to come. Breast cancer is the most predominant cancer type found in women all over the world. In India it is seen more in the urban population with a prevalence rate of 1 in 28 women. Early detection and timely treatment of the malady ensures lesser complications and good survival rate.
CLW PRODUCED 7,000 LOCOMOTIVES
New Delhi: Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) has produced 7,000 electric locomotives (32597) upto 25th October of the current financial year 2019-20. In CLW, the production of electric locomotives started in 1961. Since 1961, CLW produced about 17 types of locomotives of various capacity. During a splendid journey of almost 58 yrs, CLW moved from DC to AC and to then migrated to IGBT based technology locomotives. Praveen Kumar Mishra, General Manager flagged off the 7,000th locomotive of WAG-9HC series bearing no. 32597 from CLW in a simple ceremony on Friday morning accompanied by Ram Prakash, PCEE; DK Mondal, PCME; Shri Nitin Dhimole, PCMM & Ramashish Yadav, SDGM and other officers of CLW, staff & supervisors in large numbers. Mishra congratulated the entire CLW team and applauded their effort in successful production of 7,000 locomotives.
DG ASSAM RIFLES INTERACTS WITH CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF
New Delhi: DG Assam Rifles interacted with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) in the COAS’s office on the issue of Dual Command & amp; Control of Assam Rifles. Post discussions, the DG presented copies of the Souvenir showcasing Assam Rifles activities in the current year and a copy of Seminar Papers on "NE as Gateway to SE Asia & quot; conducted by Assam Rifles earlier this year. One copy of the recently released quarterly journal JAANKARI was also presented to the COAS.
