The foundation day lecture of the Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar (XIMB) was held on Wednesday marking the successful alliance between the State Government and the Jesuit Society.
Chief guest Godrej Group chairman Adi Burjorji Godrej spoke about the future of consumer goods in India and stressed on adapting the “consumer first” thinking and approach in the booming and lucrative sector of FMCG.
He also laid stress on how consistent innovation requires a lot of things to put into place, structured processes, systems and tools, but most important is commitment from senior leadership and in some cases even a major cultural shift.
On the occasion, Adi Godrej was conferred with Honorary Doctorate in Management, which is the first honorary degree conferred on anyone by the university since its inception in 2013.
Among others, XIMB chairman Rajive Kaul and Vice-Chancellor Dr Fr Paul Fernandes were present.
