Temples in Puri, D'nal looted

Unidentified miscreants have looted two temples in Puri and Dhenkanal districts.

According to reports, the robbers broke the donation box of the Siruli Mahavir temple at Chandanpur in Puri district late on Tuesday night and They decamped with more than Rs 50,000 deposited in the Hundi.

The broken donation box was found near the temple on Wednesday morning. Police have started investigation into the incident.

In a similar incident, the cash from the donation box and several valuables were looted by miscreants from the Ram Mandir at Malapur in Kamakhyanagar of Dhenkanal district.

The burglars also took away the CCTV camera’s hard disk with them. Investigation into the incident was underway.
