Punjab transfers 7 IAS officers; Anindita Mitra is new DIPR

The Punjab Government on Tuesday transferred seven IAS officers, while posting Anindita Mirtra as the Director of Information and Public Relations Department (DIPR).

Mitra — 2007-batch Punjab cadre officer — will hold the additional charge of DIPR along with the Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs Department Director.

Gurkirat Kirpal Singh, the Special Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, has been given the additional charge of Information and Public Relations Secretary relieving Tejveer Singh of the additional charge.

He will also hold the additional charge of Secretary (Defence Services Welfare),Kumar Rahul, 2000-batch officer, has been posted as Secretary-cum-Director (Mining) relieving Amit Dakha of the additional charge. In addition to this, he will also hold the charge of Roopnagar Division Commissioner, relieving Veerendra Kumar Meena of the additional charge, and also the charge of Commissioner for the Persons with Disabilities against a vacant post.

Rajat Agarwal has been posted as Chief Executive Officer of Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion relieving Rakesh Kumar Verma of the additional charge, and will also hold the charge of Managing Director of Punjab Small Industries Export Corporation limited.

Tanu Kashyap has been posted as Joint Development Commissioner of Integrated Rural Development and in addition Commissioner NREGA relieving Amarpal Singh of the additional charges.

Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal has been appointed as State Transport Commissioner in place of Tanu Kashyap, besides holding additional charge of Special Secretary, Transport.

Mohammad Ishfaq has been posted as Additional Secretary, Water Supply and Sanitation against the vacant post.
