'Mil-Banche Madhya Pradesh' prog to be organised on August 31

Mil–Banche Madhya Pradesh programme will be organised in Government schools of the State on August 31. Earlier this programme was going to be held on August 17. This is the third time that the ‘Mil–Banche Madhya Pradesh’ programme is being organised in State. People from all sections of the society have registered enthusiastically to participate in the programme. Nearly 2.5 lakh people will take part in the programme.

This programme is being organized in the state for multi-dimensional development of children through language skill upgradation, reading other books in addition to textbooks, developing interest in understanding and other co-curricular activities in government schools. People who take part in the programme will inspire children of government, primary and secondary schools to read other books in addition to textbooks.

Over 2 lakh volunteers who have registered for the ‘Mil –Banche Madhya Pradesh’ programme include 23,211 students, 7,211 housewives, 648 Media Mitra, 820 engineers, 843 doctors, 682 lawyers, 390 players, 2,233 voluntary organizations, 4,594 retired persons, 36,999 employees of private sector, 16,935 traders, 19,218 public representatives and 45,557 government employees and officers. The volunteers who take part in the programme will be given alternatives for participation once or regularly as per their will. Volunteers will read out one chapter of any book from either the school library or the Hindi textbook during the programme. After the reading session, the students present in the class will be asked interesting questions and will be introduced to the art of conversation and reading after group discussion.

Volunteers who take part in the programme more than once can conduct educational activities during the school’s weekly Bal-Sabha on Saturday. Volunteers can connect to the cultural, literary, sports, and life-skill related fields of the government school. Besides, volunteers may also assist in career guidance, narration of stories and features, painting, dance and music.
