The Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Mass Communication(MCNUJC) was felicitated with an award of ‘Best Team’ at national inter-college debate competition. The Vimlesh Poddar memorial second All India inter-college debate competition was held in Rajasthan.
The second All India inter-college debate competition was held in Bissau district of Rajasthan. It was organised by Bissau Welfare Trust. It is to be noted that this was the second year of Vimlesh Poddar memorial second All India inter-college debate competition. As many as 28 teams from across the country participated in the debate competition.
The team of Makhanlal Chaturvedi University of Journalism and Mass Communication participated in the debate competition and emerged as the winner bringing laurels to the State. The first prize was won by student Sonal Pateria. She won the cash prize of Rs 51,000.
The consolation prize was bagged by the student of Electronic Media branch Vishant Shrivastava.
Coordinator of cultural department Makhanlal Chaturvedi University of Journalism and Mass Communication, Aarti Sarang informed that the topic for debate competition was ‘In this House's opinion, the Civil Code is in the interest of the country’.
