Crafts and Saras Mela begins at Kurukshetra

Haryana Tourism Minister Ram Bilas Sharma on Friday said that once again from the holy land of Kurukshetra, the sermons of the Bhagavad Gita would reach the entire world through International Gita Mahotsav.

Sharma was speaking after inaugurating the Crafts and Saras Mela of International Gita Mahotsav 2018 at Kurukshetra.

The artists of 11 states gave their performances on the inauguration of the Crafts and Saras Mela.

The Minister said that as a result of the efforts of the present State Government, the Gita Jayanti is being celebrated as International Mahotsav for the third time.

This Mahotsav would enhance the pride of Haryana across the world. The craftsmen of various states have arrived in the Mela. These craftsmen included about 91 national level craftsmen, Sant Kabir Awardee and State Awardee, he added.
