Chief Minister Raman Singh on Monday landed in a helicopter at Dhurijhar village of Baghbahara district in Mahasamund as a part of the ongoing State-wide lok Suraj mission.
As soon as the villagers, farmers, youth saw the helicopter of the Chief Minister, they rushed to welcome him.
The Chief Minister and the farmers and others walked along the pathway in the agriculture fields and reached the temple premises where he conducted a 'Choupal'.
local MlA Chunnilal Sahu and several panchayat representatives of Dhurijhar and many other villages nearby welcomed the Chief Minister warmly.
Singh sanctioned several developmental works at the request of the gathering.
He also gave permission to the deepening of lake at Dhurijhar, construction of a community hall and laying of road connecting Dhurijhar-Dokarpali. Chief Minister sanctioned Rs Five lakh for a cement road linking Dhurijhar-Puranapara.
The Chief Minister also gave permission to lay a road at Neechepara and instructed the Forest Officer to disburse the funds received from the sale of bamboo to the Dhurijhar Forest Management Committee by March 31.
Singh instructed the Patwari to conduct a camp to give away income and caste certificates to the villagers. The villagers complained to the Chief Minister that some of the locals did not get funds related to construction of toilets as a part of the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Singh instructed the senior officers to clear the arrears within 15 days. Chief secretary Ajay Singh was also present at the 'Choupal'. On the complaints against salesman of fair price shop Singh ordered the officials to suspend him immediately and make an alternative arrangement.
As soon as the Collector Himshekhar Gupta came to know of the arrival Chief minister he rushed in to the venue.
The Chief Minister later reached Kosamkunda village in Baloda Bazar district and inaugurated works worth Rs two crores at the Grievance Redressal Camp.
The Chief Minister on the demand of the villagers also aproved a 'Nal Jal' scheme at a cost outlay of Rs 48 lakhs.
