Central Command Children Summer Adventure Camp which commenced at lansdowne in Pauri district on May 28 would conclude on June 3. The camp is being held for the children of the army personnel comprising 225 boys and girls. During the inaugural ceremony for the event Brigadier Indrajit Chatterjee, Commandant, Garhwal Rifles Regimental Centre, welcomed the participants and motivated them to participate in the camp with full enthusiasm.
The organisers said that the aim of the camp is to inculcate a sense of adventurism among the participating children and also to mould their character in the positive ways so as to help them become good citizens. The children are participating in both outdoor and indoor activities which they include trekking, rock climbing and shooting, one of the organisers of the camp said, adding that besides all these activities, they are doing debates and discussion to enhance their mental abilities.
