'Ama Mukhya Mantri, Ama Katha' launched

Minister Naveen Patnaik has launched a new initiative, namely, ‘Ama Mukhya Mantri, Ama Katha’ in a bid to expedite the social transformation process through dialogues.

The new initiative is a special programme that would be held before the ‘Ama Goan, Ama Bikash’ programme, a release from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said.

On the first edition of the programme, Patnaik asked representatives of more than 112 gram panchayats of five districts, who attended it through videoconferencing, to emphasise on education of their children for social transformation and ensure that they must be enrolled in schools. The CM also announced that any gram panchayat achieving 100-per cent attendance of students in schools would be rewarded by the State Government
