Chhattisgarh cadre IPS officer and ADC to Governor, Abhishek Shandilya is going on deputation to CBI, New Delhi. He would be given posting of Superintendent of Police. An order to this effect has been released by Government of India.
2007 Batch IPS officer Abhishek has been posted as SP of Sumka and Baloda Bazar. last year, he was made the ADC to Governor. One year before along with four IPS officers, he had applied for deputation to CBI,
Now, the number of IPS officers on deputation to GoI from Chhattisgarh is around 10. Abhishek is also the third IPS officer from Chhattisgarh to be on deputation with CBI. Earlier, Amit Kumar IG and Ramgopal Verma as SP had been deputed in CBI. 2004 batch IPS officer Badri Narayan Meena had been made deputy director in Intelligence Bureau (IB).
