The 49th Kendriya Vidhyalaya Sangathan (KVS) Regional Sports Meet for Athletics, Badminton, Judo and Taekwondo (Girls) culminated at Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) ONGC Dehradun on Friday. In the three day event, 159 students belonging to 33 schools participated.
Addressing the valedictory ceremony as Chief Guest, the Regional Officer of Central Board of Secondary Education ( CBSE) Dehradun region, Ranbir Singh encouraged the players to give their best in life and to set goals so that they may not get deviated from their paths.
He further added that playing these games will definitely enrich their experience and will help them develop life skills to handle life in a more positive manner. Singh stressed that discipline helps to rise in every field of life and he hoped that all these selected children will bring laurels at National level.
The principal of the KV ONGC, D S Negi said that apart from commemorating victories, the Sports Meet aimed at imparting valuable lessons of life and survival.
The assistant secretary of CBSE, Usha Negi, principal of KV IIP, sSafalta Bishnoi and others attended the closing ceremony.
