The inaugural function of Vigilance Awareness Week-2017 was held at the Administrative Building, BHEl Bhopal, on Monday. On this occasion, Executive Director DK Thakur administered the Integrity Pledge to all the GMs and DROs.
Message of President Ramnath Kovind was also read out. In his speech, Thakur said that all employees should be aware of the consequences of corruption and follow systems and procedures for all the works being carried out. Other Vigilance Division officers — including Sanjay Dhavle, Pankaj Jha and BN Choudhary — were also present at the inaugural function. On this day, all the HoDs administered the Integrity Pledge and read out the message of the President of India to all employees of BHEl, Bhopal at their respective workplaces.
On the occasion of the inaugural session, Pratibha Thakur, President BHEl ladies Club also administered the Integrity Pledge to all the members of the ladies’ club. Thakur, in her address, said that we all have to adopt the same spirit in our way of life.
Meanwhile, the four-day ISO-14001 & OHSAS-18001 Re-certification audit of BHEl, Bhopal to be carried out by M/s Bureau Veritas (India) Private limited began today with a meeting at IFX Conference Hall BHEl, Bhopal.
On this eve, DK Thakur, Executive Director, was present as the Chief Guest. VE Raghupati lead Auditor, Bureau Veritas, all general managers, AK Kiyawat AGM, HSE and other senior officials were present in the programme.
Addressing the gathering, Thakur said that at present, the area of safety and environment is the most important area of concern for any organisation. A two-way communication is required for carrying out any successful audit. Assuring the auditors that suggestions and shortcomings pointed out during the audit will be dealt with expediently, Thakur urged all the officials to actively participate in making the audit successful.
Raghupati, in his address, briefed the gathering about the genesis of the ISO-14001 and OHSAS-18001 audit. He said that interactive session, shop round and document verification will be carried out during the audit. He further wished of co-operation from BHEl officials for the audit.
Earlier, Kiyawat welcomed all the officials from M/s Bureau Veritas (India) Private ltd, Mumbai. He said that ‘System’ is very important for any organisation, implementation of which makes the related function run smoothly. Mukesh Shrivastava Sr DGM (HSE) proposed the vote of thanks.
