A 22-year-old youth was killed after a truck carrying lPG cylinders at Garamnala on the busy Sakchi Bistupur Main Road ran over him on Monday morning.
The truck was moving towards Bistupur around 12.30 noon when the biker tried to overtake the truck. The victim was identified as Manmohan Singh, a resident of Anil Sur Path in Kadma.
The victim was returning home after meeting his relatives at the Refugee Colony in Golmuri, when he met with the tragic death. He was rushed to the MGM Hospital where doctors declared him as brought dead. later, the body was sent to the MGM Medical College in Dimna for a post-mortem. Bistupur police station OC Srineewash said they have seized the truck. “We are investigating the mishap. We have summoned the owner of the truck,” he said.
