A mild musical evening ‘Sur Sandhya’ was witnessed by the Bhopal classical music lovers on Monday. The classical singer Purvi Nimgaonkar gave a spontaneous performance at Dushyant Kumar Memorial Museum of Manuscript.
The cultural programme ‘Sur Sandhya’ was held by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). The programme was held under the Horizon series of cultural programmes at 7 pm.
Notably, Purvi is one of the finest singers among the young generations. Hailing from Indore Purvi has reached the heights receiving appreciation across the country.
Belonging to a musical family she has been blessed with the natural talent of music in her genes. Since her childhood, she has been a keen learner and observer of music. She started learning Gwalior Gharana from her parents.
She has performed in various music festivals. She has also composed music for stage shows called Stri Shilpi including Classical Dance performances and dramas.
Her performances were delight for the audience on Monday evening. She presented enormous beautiful songs, bhajans and ghazals before the audiences. She is a cultural and musical icon of Madhya Pradesh for past several years. Further, she has performed under various big banners and have enthralled the music lover across the nation. Whatever the genre, Purvi present her vocal skills wonderfully which creates an impact over the listeners. Purvi is a pioneer in devotional songs, earthy geets, ghazals, film music, and folk music. She presented her all genres of specialization in the city.
