A Bollywood movie ‘Rui Ka Bojh’ was screened here on Saturday at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum.
It is to be noted that various events to entertain the Bhopalites are regularly organised at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum. Under the events ‘Cine Asvaad’ is also organised every Saturday. The film was screened under weekly film screenings organized by tribal museum.
Rui Ka Bojh was directed by Subhash Agarwal and was made by National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDCI). The movie stars Pankaj Kapur, Reema lagoo and Raghuvir Yadav. The movie was released in the year 1997 having the running time of 115 minutes.
The movie revolves around an old man Kishan Shah. Kishan Shah is a self-respecting, wise old man who decides to divide his property amongst his family the moment he suspects that all is not well between his sons and daughter-in-law.
After the division, Kishunsah settles down with his youngest son, but his tranquil life comes to an end sooner than expected. He has to face the rewards of old age-the humiliation, the insults. He has no value now. One day he is thrown into the junk room to live. He feels completely detached from the family and decides to snap all ties and renounce the world forever.
The show evoked a good response and the young crowd was the part of the audience and enjoyed the show. Interestingly NFDCI re-released the movie in digitally re-mastered print to commemorate 100 years of cinema in 2013.
