The Mahanadi Coalfields limited (MCl) was awarded by Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu for vigilance innovation and best institutional practice to fight corruption.
The awards were received on Monday by IRPF, Chief Vigilance Officer, MCl Munawar Khursheed.
Naidu also inaugurated the Vigilance Awareness Week- (VAW)2017 on theme “My Vision-Corruption Free India” at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. MOS (IC), PMO Dr Jatinder Singh and Chief Vigilance Commissioner of India KV Chowdary, who also administered the integrity pledge to all after inauguration of VAW by the Vice-President.
The MCl was awarded for its outstanding contribution in vigilance innovation, wherein the MCl has installed a pilot project for Integrated Fuel Management System (IFMS) at lakhanpur OCP of MCl to monitor the fuel consumption of the project. The main features of this IFMS are Decantation Management System, Anti-theft Management System, RFID based vehicle recognition and fuel dispensing system, etc.
The company bagged the second award for outstanding contribution in the category of best institutional practice to fight corruption.
The MCl has been pioneer in installing GPS/GPRS-based Vehicle Tracking System in all its ten areas of coal mining operations. Similarly, CCTV surveillance through a wide network is established in all the projects.
MCl CMD AK Jha congratulated Team Vigilance and all officers and staff of the company.
Meanwhile, on-line arrangements were made at the MCl for taking integrity pledge being administered by the Chief Vigilance Commissioner of India.
