Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal on Monday said Manesar-Palwal stretch of the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal expressway had been completed and the remaining Kundli-Manesar section was likely to be completed by the end of this year.

The work of Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) expressway could have been completed much earlier, but due to the obstacles created by the previous government, the matter was referred to the Supreme Court. The present State Government has ensured an early hearing on the issue in the Apex Court, said the Chief Minister while talking to the mediapersons at Jhajjar.

He said after the completion of KMP expressway, the vehicles going from northern India to western and southern part of the country would be able to pass through without entering into Delhi. Besides, the pollution level in Delhi would also be considerably reduced, said he.

Manohar lal said special emphasis would be given on industrial development on an area of two kms each on both sides of the expressway so that KMP could become a carrier of economic progress of the State.

He said that this is his third visit to district Jhajjar. During the last two years, he has visited all the 90 assembly constituencies of the state, where he addressed several public meetings and also listened to the grievances of the people, said he.

This is the first time when any Chief Minister has visited all the assembly segments without any discrimination, added he.

The Chief Minister further said that he has decided to spend two days in each district headquarter where he would also stay during the night. During his visit, he would not only participate in different programmes, but also get to know about the requirements and problems of the area, he said.

So far, he has covered 16 districts under this programme, whereas six districts would be covered in the month of November and December, Manohar lal said.

He also said that the present state government has completed its three years on October 26 this year. This is also the swarna jayanti year of the state, which would conclude on October 31.

He said that the Vice President  Venkaiah Naidu would be the chief guest in the concluding function of the swarna jayanti celebrations to be organised in Hisar on Tuesday. The two events including the swarna jayanti Khel Mahakumbh and run for unity on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel would be the key feature of the programme, added he.

Manohar lal further said that during his 2-day visit to Jhajjar, he participated in the Pashudhan Mela. It was a fair of international repute which saw the participation of large number of cattle rearers. Various competitions were organised during the Mela in which the hybrid cattle yielding more milk as well as their owners have been honoured.

The main aim of organising such fair was to create awareness among the cattle rearers so that they could rear cattle of good breed and get benefitted, he added.

The Chief Minister also listened to the grievances of about 200 people in  the Janta Darbar organized during his stay in Jhajjar and directed the officers to redress the same on priority basis.

Apart from this, Manohar lal  presided over a meeting of party workers to get feedback about various programmes being run by the State Government and also, reviewed the Chief Ministers’ announcements and other development works of the district.

He said that out of the 146 announcements made for the district, 54 are pending, whereas the remaining are either completed or in progress. later, he also inspected the Cancer Hospital being constructed in village Badhsa and Badli bypass.
