The Jharkhand Mahotsav is captivating the attention of Bhopalites as it is adorned with various shades of Jharkand’s culture. Being held at Bharat Bhavan, the fest is shares the glory of Jharkhand. From the artifacts to the theatre and dance forms all are a part of the Jharkhand Mahotsav.
One of the captivating features of the Mahotsav is the exhibition of the rare artifacts. These artifacts are on a display at Bharat Bhavan’s art gallery. It is being organised in association with Indira Gandhi Rashtariya Manav Sanghralaya (IGRMS) which provided these artifacts of Jharkhand’s oldest tribes.
From musical instruments to their costumes all are available at the art gallery of Bharat Bhavan. AThese artifacts are dated back to 1970’s. Most of theme are not event found among the people.
As the art lovers of the city take a walk through of the gallery they witnessed the rarest pieces of art which are not found easily. It is to be noted that the cultural mosaic of Jharkhand was shaped and polished by generations of communities, which have inhabited this land since time immemorial. Their heritage and culture have left their impression on the culture of the region. As the art lover takes a walk trhough of the gallery they witness the colours of Jharkhand at its best. Paintings describing the Baha dance of Jharkhand is a must watch at the exhibition. Further, the sari worn by tribal women of Jharkhand and the war arms is treat for the eyes.
