A Veterans’ Rally was organised for the army veterans and veer naris (war widows) in Uttarkashi on Sunday under the aegis of IBEX Brigade where a medical camp was also hosted with medical facilities, including pathological investigations and distribution of medicines being made available to the veterans and their families. The rally attended by the district magistrate, Uttarkashi and the district Sainik Board officials aside from a large number of army veterans was organised to create awareness among the veterans and the war widows about the latest welfare measures taken by the Centre and the State Government aside from and to project the image of the Army. In course of the rally, IBEX Brigade assisted the veterans to resolve their basic problems. Various stalls by Garhwal Rifle Records Pension Cell, Job Placement Cell, banks, Army Veterans’ Grievance Handling Portal, ECHS Pension Counters, lIC, Zila Sainik Board, agriculture cell, fishery cell, animal husbandry cell and Aadhar / PAN card registration cell were put up during the rally.
