To mark the birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a series of events has been planned by the State Government, ranging from ‘Run for Unity’ programme to cultural activities. Also, on the direction of the Central Government, schools, colleges including State departments have been instructed to organise programme to celebrate the spirit of harmony and brotherhood.
The Government has appealed to people to participate in the ‘Run for Unity’ programme that will organised at MG Marg covering the stretch from Sainik Market to Albert Ekka Chowk at 7 am.
Also, taking the vision of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ ahead, cultural events has been planned from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Ranchi University’s convocation hall. To make the cultural night a memorable one, stage performer and renowned playback singer, Rajdeep Chatterjee will entertain the audiences.
To pay tribute to one of India’s greatest visionary, the Postal Department, Jharkhand Circle here on the occasion will unveil special postal cover dedicating it to the first Deputy Prime Minister of India.
In addition, to inculcate the teachings of Sadar Vallabhbhai Patel among the new generation as per the Department of art, culture, sports and youth affairs including the Department of School Education and literacy instructions, quiz competition based on the life of Sardar Patel will be organised beside the oath taking ceremony on ‘Unity’.
Making students aware about Sardar Patel’s contribution in nation building on ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’, all schools beside organising ‘Run for Unity’ programme will also encourage kids to participate in inter schools debate competition, singing, elocution and essay writing competitions on the topic ‘Unity’.
Exploring different mediums of expression on the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, government schools across the State will make students aware about Patel’s role in uniting the country through skits and slogan writings based on his life following the guidelines of the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
