Four persons died while two others were injured in three separate road accidents in Dehradun and Udham Singh Nagar districts. In Dehradun, two persons died while another was injured when the two-wheeler rammed into a dumper at Saharanpur on Monday. While one died on the spot another was declared dead. The third person who was seriously injured was being treated at the hospital, said police.
In Udham Singh Nagar district, a person identified as Sandeep Singh, native of Bihar, currently working as a contractor in a private company, died when the bike he was riding collided with an unidentified car at Jaitpur in Kashipur on Sunday night. He was going to Sultanpuri when the accident occurred, police said. The body was sent for post-mortem and his family members were informed, police said. In another incident at Rudrapur in the same district, a hotel employee identified as Manoj, native of Peelibhit, UP, died and his friend Pramod was injured seriously when the bike they were on had a head-on collision with a car coming from the opposite direction.
