Nishatpura police have nabbed five miscreants planning dacoity and recovered one country-made pistol, one cartridge and one sharp-edged weapon from Panna Nagar ground late in the night on Sunday. The accused were planning dacoity at a petrol pump.
Acting on a tip off, five miscreants were nabbed from Panna Nagar ground with arms and ammunitions. The nabbed dacoits were later identified as Shanwar Ansari (30) of Aishbagh, Vikas Goswami (26) Habibganj, Imran Khan (27) of Hanumanganj, Waseem Pathan (30) of Ujjain and Imran Abrar (35) Nishatpura.
The arms recovered from their possession suggested that they were fully equipped and had planned a big dacoity.
The nabbed accused have also been booked for vehicle theft, dacoity in Indore, Ujjain, Dewas and Bhopal.
The accused Waseem Pathan and Imran have been booked by Khajrana police Indore while planning robbery and were also booked for truck theft.
From Imran, police recovered one country made pistol and two live cartridges. From Sanwar, one sharp edged weapon was recovered. One sharp edged weapon was recovered from Waseem, Imran and Vikas each.
Police said that the accused used to disperse and contact only if crime was planned and on Sunday also after the plan was made, they were about to commit the crime but were nabbed red handed.The police have registered a case under Sections 399 and 402 of the IPC and Section 25 and 27 of the Arms Act. Police suspected that more crimes would be revealed by the accused in the investigation.
