A sensational double murder rocked Chandauli, besides a woman was killed in Shamli while resisting rape and another man was killed in Baghpat over a petty dispute during the last 24 hours.
In Chandauli, two groups from the same family clashed over a petty dispute in which two persons were killed while half a dozen others were seriously injured on Sundaynight.
As per reports, Sanjay Singh aka Agnu of lakshmanpur area of Kandwa was having a property dispute with his kin Gyan Prakash Singh. The matter took an ugly turn when both parties came to e haed in which Sanjay and his son Samarth suffered bullet injuries died while four others were injured. The injured were shifted to district hospital from where doctors referred them to Varanasi Medical College.
The police claimed to have later arrested three accused identified as Gyan Prakash Singh, Ashwini Singh and Kumud Bihari.
Meanwhile in Shamli, a 23-year-old woman was killed after she resisted four men who tried to rape her in village Bhura on Sunday evening.
The victim’s brother complained to the police that four men entered their house and tried to rape his sister while she was alone in the house on Sunday evening. When she resisted their nefarious design, the miscreants attacked her in which she suffered serious injuries. She was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared her dead upon arrival.
The complainant also claimed that Rs 10,000 was looted from their house. The body was sent for autopsy and a case was registered against the four accused. The cops were also probing a personal enmity angle.
Elsewhere in Baghpat, a 80-year-old man was killed and his grandson injured when some persons fired at them in Nirpuda village in Doghat area.
Reports said that Pitam Singh (80) was sitting in his dairy when some persons entered there and began firing indiscriminately on Sunday night. As a result, Singh died on the spot and his grandson Vikky was injured and rushed to a hospital where his condition was stated to be stable. The police suspected the incident to be a fallout of a monetary dispute. A probe was on but no arrests could be made so far.
