lieutenant General BS Negi, Army Commander, Central Command, visited the forward areas of Pithoragarh and Gunji on Wednesday.
Along with the Formation Commander, lieutenant General Negi did an aerial operational reconnaissance of the forward areas along the line of Actual Control.
It is further learnt from the Army sources that the Army Commander took firsthand account of the operational matters and deployment of troops in the remote areas where conditions are extremely harsh.
He is learnt to have expressed satisfaction and appreciated the level of preparedness level of the formation and units in their areas of responsibility.
