A free health camp for the breast and cervical cancer was organised by the Can Protect foundation at Press Club here on Thursday.
In the camp heath check up of 102 media persons and their family members was done. The experts also conducted on the spot tests of bones, blood and sugar. Neuro Surgeon Dr Mahesh Kuriyal said that one should eat healthy food and adopt a healthy life style in order to stay fit. Dr Sumita Prabhakar of CMI hospital said that the incidences of the breast and cervical cancer are increasing among the women who have crossed 40 years of age. Such women should undergo regular medical checkups for early detection of these diseases, she said.
The President of Uttaranchal Press club, Naveen Thaledi and General Secretary Bhupendra Kandari welcomed the Patron of the Can Foundation, Dr Kuriyal and President Dr Prabhakar. Thaledi said that the club is planning to organise a camp of super specialist doctors for the media persons and their families in the month of November.
Dr Rekha Khanna, Dr Vinita Singh, Pravin Dang, Nirmala, Anjani Shukla and Rahul Tripathi extended their services in the camp.
