The Special Judge, CBI, Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) has sentenced Ravindra J Pathrabe, then Branch Manager, State Bank of Hyderabad, MP Nagar Branch, Bhopal to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with a fine of Rs 80,000. Pushpendra Mishra, then Proprietor M/s Prakhar Builders and Developers to undergo three years’ Rigorous Imprisonment with a fine of Rs 70,000 and his wife Archana Mishra to undergo three years RI with a fine of Rs 30,000 and Devansh Shukla to undergo three years RI with a fine of Rs 70,000.
CBI had registered a case on December 01, 2011 under sections 120-B, 420, 468 and 471 of the IPC and 13(2) and 13(1)(d) of the PC Act, 1988, on a complaint from State Bank of Hyderabad, Head Office, Hyderabad, on the allegations that Ravindra J Pathrabe, Branch Manager, SBH, MP Nagar Branch, Bhopal, during the year 2009-2010, entered into criminal conspiracy with Proprietors of Private Construction Firms who were involved in housing constructions and conspired with the unknown borrowers.
The accused fraudulently cheated the State Bank of Hyderabad, Bhopal to the tune of Rs 318.52 lakh (approx) by way of facilitating and availing of Housing loans and submitting false and forged documents.
In overall, there persons have been convicted by the CBI Court.
