Seemingly dissident BJD MP Baijayant Panda on Thursday again hit headlines stating that there is a “conspiracy” to oust some leaders from the party.
A conspiracy had led to removal of some senior BJD leaders in the past; and now, a similar plot is being hatched to dislodge some others from the party, he told the media.
Panda was commenting on party supremo Naveen Patnaik’s move to bring back a section of the leaders who had to leave the BJD in the past for different reasons.
Expectedly, BJD spokesperson Pratap Keshari Deb reacting to Panda’s observations said the latter should let his feeling be conveyed to party president Patnaik instead of airing it in public.
Political observers point out that Panda is apprehensive about his being disciplined out of the party for his continued tones of dissent. Apparently for taking action against Panda and the other ‘dissident’ leaders, Naveen Patnaik wants some of erstwhile veterans back in the party.
