ABVP wins union elections by 5-1

The BJP’s student wing, ABVP, won the students’ elections in the colleges of Madhya Pradesh with 5-1 on Monday by beating NSUI candidates. Out of the six universities, the ABVP claimed 5 while NSUI had to satisfy with only one.

In the State capital, NSUI’s claim to have won BU, proved totally wrong against all their claims after the results were declared.

Blame game, allegations of being biased in accepting nominations and supporting of security personnel was witnessed throughout the election process and on the day of the elections as well. It was already expected that the elections which were held after a gap of six years would not be conducted in a peaceful atmosphere.

Several places witnessed incidents of violence but not of nasty nature and completion of the elections, was done in the presence of heavy security deployed for conducting peaceful elections.

Activists of NSUI and ABVP started to garner support for their candidates in the state after the elections dates were declared and during the process to take lead from the opposition the two student unions clashed at several places in the state.

The incidents of clashes increased in the last leg and two days before the election on Monday, several students were injured in clashes between the two student unions which erupted during the filing of nominations for class representative (CR) posts who have cast their vote to elect office bearers and working committee members.

Among the colleges in the state capital in Government PG College BHEl Mini Saxena was elected as President, Yogita Tiwari Vice President, Sweety Adlak as Secretary Deputy and Saurabh Bhatia as Secretary. In Government Naveen College Hitesh Ahirwar was elected as President, Kajal Mundaria

As Vice President, Anjali Ahirwar as Secretary and Ritesh Yadav as Deputy Secretary.

 In MlB College Alfa Khan was elected as President Kashish Shukla as Vice President, Pragya Bharti as Secretary and Deepshikha Pathak as Deputy Secretary. In Hamidia College Ashutosh Malviya was elected as President, Varsha Yaduvanshi as  Vice President Suryakant Chaturvedi as Secretary while Deputy Secretary – vacant .

 In Benazir College Divyani Mishra was elected as President Vivek Kumar Gupta as Vice President, Jyoti Umet as Secretary and Ruchika Singh Baghel as Deputy Secretary. In MVM College Harishta Ahirwar was elected as President Arjun Ahirwar as Vice President, Parul Rawat as Secretary and Akash Singh as Deputy Secretary.

 In Nutan College Sonam Omkari was elected as President, Richa Sharma as Vice President, Mohita Joshi as Secretary and Vaidaihi Gupta as Deputy Secretary. In BU Swapnil Patel was elected as President, Himanshu Harsh as Vice President, Sudha Kushawaha as Secretary and Sakshi Bhardwaj as Deputy Secretary. In Geetanjali College Shreen Bano was elected as President Khushboo Goswami as Vice President, Mohini Keer as Secretary while Deputy secretary is vacant.
