It helps find the best solution to our problems, says Dr Khushdeep Bansal
Your Body and mind
Do you feel the divide between your actions and your inner mindIJ Is there a nagging question as to why you do not look within and question your actionsIJ Or it might be that you have a feeling of being afloat in some kind of a bubble. You are unaware of your inner consciousness, your true capabilities, and your real potential. let’s read to understand how and where the divide is created between you and your inner mind.
The inner mind is the main driving force in our life. It is, in fact, the basis of creation of our emotions, thoughts, decisions, perceptions, and choices. But how many of us realise that we tend to move away from communicating with our inner mindIJ Instead, we perform actions using our conscious mind dominantly over the subconscious mind. We even tend to forget that the inner mind has a greater and a more essential role to play in our life, in giving it the right purpose and direction.
Meditation with a Purpose
To understand the potential of the inner mind and the process of connecting with it at a deep and spiritual level, it is important to absorb the concept of meditation.
If you are stressed or anxious about a particular life problem, you might tend to look for some kind of therapy or treatment in the outside world. We seldom understand that both chaos and serenity lie within us. You can find the real source of energy, the inspiration and the drive right within your mind or the subconscious. The therapy comes from the inner mind and one can reap energy right from it.
The inner mind acts both as a reservoir as well as a producer of emotions and thoughts in our lives. It secretly knows what we have been trying to find or understand throughout our lives. The more you keep yourself alienated from your inner core, the more you drift away from the real meaning of your life and the power of your mind.
For anyone who learns to communicate with their inner mind and establishes the connection on a more frequent basis learns to open a thousand doors to possibilities and comes closer to the universal consciousness, ie God or the supreme power. They are finetuned to the supreme consciousness. They are now aware of not just their surroundings but also of the universal energy that drives them from within.
When you think about an issue, or work towards unearthing solutions to critical problems, you may not reach where your inner conscious has the potential to take you! Meditation is the best medium or process to connect to your inner self. Through meditation, you can find your solutions or restore balance in your life.
This is the main purpose of communicating with one’s inner mind. If you learn to ask questions to your inner mind, try to interact with it at a personal level or engage it at a spiritual level, your mind will help you connect to the reality of your life. Once you are one with your inner core, you will find the best solution to all your life problems.
Controlling your Mind
There is a soft voice residing within you that secretly knows what you have been trying to realise all your life. The moment you befriend it, or establish a strong connection with your inner conscious, you directly add patience and perseverance to your life. You develop the strength to control your mind like a saint. Or in other words, you are no longer a slave of your thoughts or actions. You mould your mind, control it and take measured actions in life.
In the high-paced and stressful life of today, we let our mind wander on whatever is served on a platter. With sources of stress and anxiety, the inner mind has the power to protect you from developing poor thoughts or ideas or performing irresponsible acts or risking bad decisions. If one gains control over their mind, they can have the strength to control their conscious acts as well.
Finding your true self and relating to the inner strength within you is the realisation of a lifetime. The individual stands to gain the best in life through this revelation. Spending quality time with yourself, unlearning myths and focusing on what the inner mind has perceived and wants to teach you, can take yourself to the highest level of consciousness.
Through the connection with the inner self, you learn to value your existence and understand that the answers to your life problems lie within you and not outside. The sub-conscious is your resource bank and the pool of knowledge from where you need to draw out strength and positive energy for a lifetime.
