Tata Power sets up skill training hubs

Tata Power has set up Tata Power Skill Development Institute (TPSDI) four training hubs to train, test, certify, and accredit over 2500 power sector workforce through modular skill development approach by FY16-17.

The four training hubs set up are TPSDI Shahad and TPSDI–Trombay (Maharashtra), TPSDI - Maithon (Jharkhand) and TPSDI- Mundra (Gujarat), would aim to bridge the skills gap that exists across the value chain, and to help build a capable workforce.

Speaking on this initiative, Anil Sardana, CEO and managing director, Tata Power, stated, “Skill development is an essential ingredient for India's future economic growth as the country transforms itself into an internationally competitive economy.
