New Delhi-based philanthropic organisation Parichay Foundation will organise its annual event Aarya at the Rabindra Mandap here on March 6 to mark the International Women’s Day on March 8.
The event will feature performances by eminent artistes and honouring of 12 glorious women of substance for their contributions to humanity and society at large in their esteemed capacities in various fields of social work, arts, humanities and welfare activities. The women achievers are Dr Sruti Mohapatra (social work), Dr Sutapa Biswas (medical science), Dr Shakuntala Baliarsingh (literature), Gouri Mohanty (sports), Dr Sangeeta Gosain (music), Meera Dash (dance), Dr Snigdha Pattnaik (education), Rashima Misra (entrepreneurship), Gargi Mohanty (cinema), Minati Singha (media), Arati Devi (politics) and the JSPl CSR Executive (CSR). Besides, a performance by Padmashri Bharthi Shivaji and Hasya Kavita presentation by renowned poet Surendra Sharma are included in the programme schedule.
Foundation president Rosalin Patasani Mishra said the foundation would honour these women personifying them as ‘Aarya’, an epitome of nobility, purity and preciousness.
