State Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Rajesh Munat laid the foundation stone for the asphaltation of Sarona-Raipura road project to be taken up at a cost of `1.19 crore on Sunday.
The Minister, on the occasion also instructed the officials to ensure the proper monitoring and ensuring good quality of the developmental works.
Munat further asked the contractors to focus on the quality of the work and maintain the deadline of the construction work related to the ongoing developmental activities.
Also, he said that it is the responsibility of everyone to provide the basic infrastructure facilities to the people.
He urged the denizens to identify a space within Raipura for constructing a garden wherein they can walk in the morning and evening hours. Residents informed that around 2.5 acres of land is available at Banstal but is subjected to clearance by the Forest Department.
Munat advised the officials to frame a proposal for drainage apart from the road asphaltation which would be sanctioned.
Raipur Municipal Corporation Chairman Prafulla Vishwakarma, Ward Councilor and other civic body representatives were also present on the occasion.
