Great heroes like Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Sido-Kanhu, Takur Vishwanath Shahdeo, Chand Bhairav, Sheikh Bhikari and others will remain in our heart and will be remembered always for their contribution and awakening masses,” added Murmu.

Martyr Veer Budhu Bhagat not just struggled to free the Chotanagpur region from British regime but had also inculcated unity among the people to raise voice against the British injustice, said, Murmu.

Appealing to the people, Murmu added, “An individual who have lived, died for their motherland, their names are registered in history. People must try to contribute in a positive way in nation building and strive for excellence to bring laurel to this great nation. People must not forget the sacrifice of these freedom fighters.

We are residing in a free country it is just because of these freedom strugglers.”
