Following complaints of irregularities during his tenure as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Dehradun, the state Government on Thursday shunted out CMO, Dehradun, Dr Sushil Prasad Agarwal and attached him to the office of Director Medical, health and family welfare, Kumaon division, Nainital till further orders. On the orders of state government an inquiry vide office order 275 dated May, 3, 2016 was constituted on charges of purchase of drugs and other equipment by the office of CMO Dehradun and the government’s action is based on the findings of the inquiry report.
In an order released on Thursday the Principal Secretary Health, Om Prakash also transferred 13 joint/ additional Director ranked medical officers and promoted nine Joint Director ranked medical officers.
Senior Orthopedic surgeon, Doon Hospital Dr Y S Thapliyal would be the new Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Dehradun. Similarly Additional CMO, Dehradun, Dr V S Jangpangi has been transferred to Haridwar as CMO.
Principal Superintendent (PS) Base Hospital Almora, Dr D P Durgapal is posted as Principal Consultant in the same hospital. Principal Medical Superintendent (PMS) TB Sanatorium, Bhawali has been transferred as Principal Consultant District Hospital Pithoragarh. The Additional Director, health director Dr Dhan lal Shah would be the new CMO of Champawat while Additional CMO Pithoragarh, Dr Sanjay Shah is posted as new CMO of Bageshwar.
In other transfers CMO Champawat Dr V S Tolia is shifted as Additional Project Director AIDS control Dehradun while CMO Uttarkashi Dr Gyanendra Singh Rawat would be Principal Consultant Government Hospital Rishikesh.
The promoted medical officers include Dr Aarti Dhaundhiyal (PMS District hospital Haridwar), Dr Nisha Pandey (Principal Consultant District Hospital Almora), Dr B P Phonia (PS District hospital Pauri), Dr Tripti Bahuguna (Principal Consultant District Hospital Pauri), Dr Alok Tewatia (Principal Consultant District Hospital Haridwar), Dr VK Dhaundiyal (PS Bhawali Sanatorium) Dr K S Mehta (PS District Hospital Pithoragarh), Dr S B Oli (PS District Hospital Almora) and DR S S Negi (Principal Divisional training centre Chander Nagar Dehradun). These doctors have been promoted on the ranks of Joint Directors.
