Dewas bypass road to be multilane

A meeting of the State Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here on Tuesday accorded sanction for converting Dewas bypass road to 4 and 6 lane under BOT scheme through MPRDC. A sum of Rs 286. 25 cr will be spent on this 19.8 km long road.

The Cabinet decided that necessary Government land should be acquired and transferred to the National Highways Authority of India under the Union Transport and Highways Ministry for construction of new national highways and widening of the existing ones and the Railway Ministry for laying rail lines.

The Cabinet sanctioned one-time relaxation for filling promotion vacancies of  labour inspectors in the labour Commissioner Organisation through direct recruitment.

Special courts have been set up to hear cyber and hi-tech crimes at Jabalpur, Bhopal, Indore and Gwalior. The Cabinet sanctioned 36 Class III and IV posts for establishment of 4 additional courts of District and Sessions Judge in these cities.

The Cabinet sanctioned permanent set-up of office of Chief Electoral Officer, District Election Offices, Electoral Registrars and Assistant Electoral Registrars. A total of 35 posts have been sanctioned for Chief Electoral Officer's office, 255 posts for 51 District Election Offices, 930 posts in 230 offices of Electoral Registrars and 230 posts have been sanctioned for offices of Assistant Electoral Registrars.

The Cabinet decided to enhance the annual limit of discretionary fund of Vidhan Sabha Speaker from Rs 75 lakh to Rs 1 crore. Similarly, the annual limit of discretionary fund of Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker and leader of Opposition has been

increased from Rs 15 lakh and Rs 20 lakh, respectively, to Rs 50 lakh each.

The Cabinet decided to bifurcate the Urban Development and Environment Department in two separate departments as Environment Department and Urban Development Department and frame work allotment rules.

The Cabinet endorsed the State Government's order regarding implementation of Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme from year 2016-17.

The Cabinet approved draft of Amendment Ordinance-2016 for amendment in Madhya Pradesh Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) Act-2007 (as Amended-2013).

The Cabinet approved draft of Amendment Ordinance-2016 for amendment vis-à-vis private GH Raisoni University, Chhindwara,  private DC University, Indore and Symbiosis University of Applied Science, Indore.

The Cabinet sanctioned line of action in cases pertaining to tourism to be presented before Cabinet Committee (Tourism Cabinet).

The Cabinet sanctioned to withdraw subject of pre-school education from School Education Department to Women and Child Development Department.

The Cabinet sanctioned expenditure of Rs 17.66 cr to implement the MoU with the CII for success of Make in Madhya Pradesh Campaign.
