Chief Justice of India (CJI) Justice TS Thakur during his maiden visit to Odisha after assuming the coveted post in January this year would deliver the convocation address in the Third Convocation of National law University of Odisha (NlUO) here on Saturday.
This was informed by university Vice-Chancellor Prof Srikrishna Deva Rao on Friday.
The CJI along with several other judges of the Supreme Court and High Courts are coming to the city in the weekend to attend the centennial celebrations of the first sitting of the Circuit Bench of High Court for Odisha at Cuttack.
Speaking about the convocation, the NlUO Vice-Chancellor informed that a total of 135 students would be conferred with degrees by the CJI, out of which 108 would receive llB degree, 25 llM degree and two would be awarded PhD. A total of 17 gold medals in different categories would be given to students, the VC informed.
