The HP Tourism Development Corporation on Thursday celebrated its 45th Foundation Day in the state with the first guests in some hotels being provided with one day free state.
Vice-Chairman Harish Janartha, Managing Director Dinesh Malhotra and Members of HPTDC Board of Directors planted trees at Shimla, Manali, Chintpurni, Barog, Dharamshala, Kullu and Narkanda. Apart from this, HPTDC Hotels served one complimentary dish to the staying guests on this day and greeted them with flowers.
The first guests checking-in at Hotel Holiday Home-Shimla, Hotel Kunzam- Manali and Hotel Dhauladhar-Dharamshala were provided with one day free stay for September 1. The guests visiting HPTDC Marketing Offices were welcomed with sweets and HPTDC properties were decorated and illuminated to mark this special day. The get-togethers of employees took place at every complex to remember, honor and celebrate the Corporation’s achievements in past four decades and future plans were also discussed.
Due to HPTDC, rhe lesser known areas of Himachal Pradesh were opened up and publicized for tourists. Over the years, the Corporation has expanded and diversified its activities, broad based its strategy and has contributed significantly to the multi-faceted socio-economic development of the state.
HPTDC runs 60 Hotels, 10 cafeterias, 2 club houses and a fleet of Volvo and Deluxe buses with total employee strength of 1507.
