Police to escort petrol pump, bank staff
In a meeting of City SP Kishor Kaushal with ASP, DSP rank officials and OCs of Ranchi on Sunday, it was decided that petrol pump staff and bank employees will be escorted by Tiger Mobile patrolling units considering the criminal incidents in the recent past. 100 of these motorcycle patrolling units have been given this responsibility. Police officials have also been instructed to keep an eye on the patrolling system of the city.
JVM rally for PDS, domicile on March 17
In a meeting on Sunday, Jharkhand Vikas Morcha leaders decided to conduct a district-level agitation march on March 17. The march will be focused on eradicating discrepancies in public distribution system and putting domicile policy to effect. Though this rally, JVM will also demand that State Government relinquish its powers if it fails to fulfill these demands.
Safety Walk and quiz at SAIl
As a part of 45th National Safety Day-2016, a safety walk was organised by SAIl Safety Organisation on Sunday. A campaign vehicle highlighting various aspects of safety was flagged off by ED (HRD) MR Panda and ED (RDCIS) BK Jha in presence of senior SAIl officers. About 200 employees attended this early morning walk. In a series of programmes, a Quiz competition was also organised on 26th Feb.’16 for the SAIl employees.
JCI organises EVP programme
In the joint attempt, JCI ‘Udaan’ and JCI Ranchi organised EVP programme on Sunday at Aachal Shishu Ashram. On the occasion members of JCI distributed ORS packets among the kids. EVP, Rajkumar along with other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
HOPE to start UDAAN in Kanke.
Project HOPE, in collaboration with Jharkhand Government and Boston Scientific will kick start an awareness programme UDAAN on non-communicable diseases in Kanke block. The programme will be flagged off by CM Raghubar Das on Monday, along with Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi. linda Heitzman, Executive Vice President of Project HOPE will be present for the event.
