The Kerala Police on Saturday filed the chargesheet against controversial businessman Muhammad Nisham in the sensational case pertaining to the brutal murder of Chandrabose (48), security guard of a posh villa complex near Thrissur. Nisham (39) has been accused of murdering the security guard by ramming his Hummer SUV into him.

Chandrabose used to question the habit of certain residents including Nisham of reaching the villa complex at unearthly hours in nights and had asked other security guards to block the vehicles of such late-comers, the chargesheet said.

Infuriated by this, Nisham had several times threatened to kill Chandrabose, according to the statements given by 15 witnesses including the murdered security guard's wife, Jamanthi. However, Chandrabose had continued to question the late arrival of residents and this could have led to the murder, the chargesheet said.

When the guard tried to run away from the scene, Nisham rammed his Hummer into him despite the efforts of the other security guards to block him. later, he took the guard to a parking lot inside the complex where he beat him up with a wooden rod. Chandrabose died at a private hospital on February 16 due to multiple organ failure induced by the attack.
