VV Karate School team to leave for National meet

A 12-member team of Valena Valentina Karate School would leave from here on Thursday to participate in the 14th All India Ryushin Kan Shito Ryu Karate Championship and International Ryushin Kan Shito Ryu Karate Championship schedule to be held at Chennai from August 1. Altogether 750 karatekas are expected from Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Bihar, Assam, West Bengal and Gujarat to take part in the national meet.  
The school has been opened in the temple city four months back. I am very happy that in sort period we could able to get the opportunity to participate in the national meet and hopeful that our players would bring some medal for the State, said Valena Valentina.    
 
State Team: Asmi Patnaik (below 5 years), Rajlaxmi Jena (below 7 years), Aditya Barik, Akhasit Sahu, Swastik Mahapatra, Subhalaxmi Das, Bidyakiran Sahu (all 8 to 9 years), Debi Prasad Mishra (10-11 years), Ramashri Kisan Mohapatra (12 to 13 years), Priya Priyadarshini, Yogesh Beriha and Valena Valentina (all in senior category).
