The 34th Annual Day of Tiny Cottage schools run by the Maitri Mahila Samiti (MMS) of NTPC Korba in its township at Jamnipali was celebrated at Dr BR Ambedkar Auditorium here on Thursday. Prakash Tiwari, GGM, NTPC, Korba attended the function as the chief guest. Tiwari in his address stressed on the proper grooming of the children from such a tender age and their role in nation building in future.
He also complimented the MMS members for creating an ambience to realise this objective. Seema Tiwari, president, Maitri Mahila Samiti, presided over the function. Earlier, children of the Tiny Cottage schools presented bouquet to the guests while the teachers of the schools presented NTPC Geet. Suniti Khalatkar, vice-president, MMS welcomed the guests and Neeti Mishra, secretary, Tiny Cottage, presented the annual report. Ram Das, GM (O&M), Anand Khalatkar, GM (Fuel Management), Suprakash Mukherjee, GM (Maintenance), Snehalata Ram Das and Deepanwita Mukherjee, vice-presidents, MMS, members of the ladies Club, children and their parents, principals and teachers, employees and their families and members of Unions and Associations were present.
Children of Tiny Cottage schools put up a cultural programme on this occasion which was appreciated by the audience. The chief guest also gave away awards to the winners of various competitions. Manisha Nagoriya, Treasurer, Tiny Cottage schools, presented the vote of thanks.
