A watch list criminal and his two accomplices were nabbed by Aishbagh police in connection with murder of a 28-year-old man at Bagh Farhat Afza under Aishbagh police station area late on Thursday night.

According to the police, Salman Siddque was shot dead in Aishbagh area by Shadab and his accomplices on Thursday evening after a heated verbal exchange. The deceased used to work as a school van driver and lived near the graveyard where Shadab along with others used to gamble near his house and few days ago when Salman objected and tried to stop them he was threatened for his life by Shadab claimed the family.

Family has also claimed that the accused and deceased had a fight few days ago and during the fight, Shadab had threatened Salman of his life. On Thursday evening when Shadab along with his friend had a fight with Salman, he got infuriated with the opposition raised by Salman and opened fire at him. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. 

Shadab is a watch list criminal of Aishbagh police station. The accused is a habitual offender and has been booked for several crimes. The police after the preliminary investigation registered a case under section 302 of the IPC. Investigating Officer SI RJ Singh said that Shadab used to extort money from the locals and few days ago, he had a fight with Salmaan but the reason of the fight remains unknown. Shadab was waiting for the opportunity and on Thursday, he started abusing Salman and when Salman opposed, he was shot by Shadab in which Salman sustained bullet injury in his chest.
