The SIT arrested a medical student of 2009 batch in connection with the infamous MPPEB scam. In the enquiry, the student admitted that he took a sum of `4 lakh through his senior student Sonu Sharma and arranged for a solver to appear in the examination for him.
The SIT in-charge VK Jain said that during the enquiry of PMT scandal the SIT received few complaint letters in which some students escaped in the enquiry that was conducted by the dean. The names of four students in this connection had come to fore and during the enquiry, the police came to know that all these students had paid `4 lakh each to clear the PMT.
The SIT arrested an accused Rahul Sharma of 2009 batch. His father Prasad Sharma is posted as agriculture extension officer in Gwalior. The SIT is searching the remaining students involved in PMT scandal.
