Deputy Commissioner Hazaribagh, Sunil Kumar chaired a meeting with the district and block officials attached with revenue department to review the progress in land acquisition for different developmental projects going on in the district.
In the meeting, it was reported that for the broadening of NH-2 (GT Road) 72 acre land of 43 villages has already been acquired. Regarding Government land in these villages, proposal is ready.
DC directed the officials to handover the Government land to the agency as soon as possible so that work can be started on the section crossing Hazaribagh district.
He also directed the forest officials to arrange no objection certificate of forest land required for NH-2 in Vishnugarh and Barkattha block sections.
For Hazaribagh ring road, it was reported that required land has been acquired in 6 villages out of 20 which are coming under this project.
For rest 14 villages, proposal was prepared but it was found that in 11 villages, the Government do not needs private land so fresh proposal is under preparation.
DC asked the officials to prepare clear cut proposal and report that how much land has been acquired till now, how much land needs to be acquired, village wise area of Government land and private land coming under this project in all 20 villages within two days.
It was also informed in the meeting that the work for widening of NH-33 Hazaribagh-Barhi section has been allotted to a new company and it will start the work soon.
He directed the officials concerned to remove encroachment from the acquired land of this section and to acquire required land by settling the disputes.
He also directed the forest officials to provide no objection certificate to the agency for the eight km-long stretch of Hazaribagh-Barhi road so that work can start soon.
He also reviewed the progress of land acquisition for railway, DVC and other developmental projects going on in the district. The officials reported the problems they are facing at ground level in acquiring land for these projects.
He directed them to organise meetings with the land owners regularly, so that no one can mislead them.
He also suggested to organise special camps in different villages to solve the problems related with land disputes and ownership.
