After the phone number of 1912 gained popularity for registration of electricity related complaints, Punjab State Power Corporation limited has broadened the facility by including SMS option to register supply related complaints.
KDChaudhri, Chairman cum Managing Director, said that already 60 parallel lines are working on 1912 but as more and more consumers are opting to register electricity related complaints on this number, some consumers may find the line engaged at times and keeping this in view, PSPCl has extended the option of sending SMS on 1912 to register electricity supply related complaint.
He said for the consumers whose mobile number is already registered with Electricity Call Centre of PSPCl, they need to type text “nosupply” and send it to 1912 and their complaint will be registered automatically. For consumers whose mobile number is not registered, they can also send SMS on 1912 and they will be contacted by PSPCl Customer Care Centre for further enquiries about their location & complaint.
Chaudhri said that the procedure to keep consumers updated about the status of their complaints will remain the same for this mode of complaint too and third party feedback on consumer’s experience on resolution of the complaint will also be solicited.
