Neemuch district was worst hit in the inclement weather witnessed in the past few days across the State and district Collector GV Rashmi, is discharging dual responsibility of extensively touring the affected villages despite being a mother of two small daughters. Senior BJP leader and former Minister Kailash Chawla has praised Rashmi for shouldering both the responsibility perfectly and said that she has shouldered the responsibility of a mother and her duties in a remarkable way, as she is accompanying her daughter during the physical verification of loss caused during hail storm making the job look easier, but it is a tough job to balance the act.
The Neemuch collector has a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Peehu and 5-year-old daughter Kuhu. Peehu accompanies her during the physical verification of the loss in the fields throughout the day. Collector has been following the same from the day on which the physical verification started. Notably, Rashmi’s husband Sanjeev Singh is also an IAS officer and is district Collector in Mandsaur. The IAS couple has a huge administrative responsibility on their shoulder.
On March 16, Rashmi visited Denthal and Kadi Aantari villages during which she accompanied her one-and-a-half-year-old daughter. When contacted by this correspondent, she declined to speak out over the matter. Weather created havoc on March 16 after heavy hailstorm was witnessed in Neemuch district and after the abrupt change, the conditions worsen as the Opium, Psyllium, Coriander and Paddy yield crops were affected severely and to guage the loss by physical verification, district collector Rashmi had to visit several areas of the district.
